LGC Wireless Completes $13 Million Funding Round with Second Closing.SAN JOSE, Calif. -- LGC LGC Logistics (Contracting) LGC Local Government Commission LGC La Gloria Cubana (cigar) LGC Laboratory of the Government Chemist (UK) Wireless, Inc., a market leader in in-building wireless networking solutions, announced today it has completed the second close of its Series B-1 equity financing, netting another $2 million which brings the total raised in this round to $13 million. In addition to participation by several existing investors, the major new investor in the second close was GunnAllen Venture Partners. "The proliferation and breadth of wireless services attracted us to this space, and LGC's proven business model and market leadership confirmed that this was a late-stage opportunity we could not pass up," said Jon Goldberg, managing director of GunnAllen Venture Partners. The company plans to use the funds for general working capital and to continue its expansion of international sales activities. The round was led by Rembrandt Venture Partners, along with strong support from nearly all-existing investors. LGC Wireless, which was established in 1996, has raised $93 million to date.
