LGBT alumni groups hit the road!

This fall the Harvard caucus--in conjunction with the Harvard Alumni Association--teams up with gay travel company Alyson Adventures for a biking vacation through Provence (September 16-23, AlysonAdventures.com/HGLC). Beginning and ending in Avignon, the gay cyclists will pedal past Daudet's windmill and the poppy filled landscapes that inspired Vincent van Gogh. They'll also picnic at the Pont du Gard Pont du Gard (pôN dü gär), Roman aqueduct across the Gard River, Gard dept., S France. Built in 19 B.C. to supply Nîmes with water, it consists of three tiers of arches and is c.900 ft (270 m) long and c.160 ft (50 m) high. , a 2,000-year-old Roman aqueduct at the Gard River, and savor the views from the chateau-fortress ruins of Les Baux. Decadent dinners with French wine cap the days of sightseeing.

The Harvard group launched its gay alumni vacations with a Grand Canyon tour in August 2006--and we bet there wasn't a cheesy cheesy (cheĀ“ze) caseous.  name tag in sight.
