LG Electronics Selects RMI's Alchemy Au1200 Processor for LN 790 Portable Navigation Device With Multimedia Capabilities.

The LN 790 from LG is a highly integrated Portable Navigation Device complete with multimedia capability including Music, Photo and Video file playback. The PND (Personal Navigation Device) A portable GPS-based navigation system that can be used when walking, hiking or in any vehicle. See GPS.  features a slim and compact design and a 4.3" TFT LCD (Thin Film Transistor LCD) See LCD.  (480 x 272 QVGA (Quarter VGA) A screen resolution of 320x240 pixels, which is used on handheld devices. Although 320x240 seems half the 640x480 VGA resolution, the "quarter" comes from the total number of pixels, which is one fourth the number (320 times 240=76800; 640 times 480=307200). ) with battery run time of up to 4 hours. The navigation capabilities include a touch screen with Millions of POI's, Bluetooth[TM] Headset and Audio streaming as well as TTS (1) See text-to-speech.
