LFR Expands into North Carolina and Appoints Thomas Marr as Vice President and Principal.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- LFR Levine-Fricke (LFR), a national environmental management and consulting engineering firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Thomas J. Marr, C.P.G. as Vice President and Principal. Mr. Marr will be based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, supporting LFR's operations throughout the east coast.

Mr. Marr has 20 years of experience in contaminant hydrogeology, civil engineering/construction management, office and regional management and corporate technical leadership. His environmental expertise covers emergency spill response, soil and groundwater assessment and remediation, risk based decision-making processes and models, and innovative technologies for active remediation as well as natural and augmented bioremediation. Recent publications include topics on assessment and remediation strategy, understanding of laboratory procedures and methods, use of biogenic gases, surfactants, nutrients and enzymes for removal of volatile organics from soil and groundwater and the use of direct push technologies such as the cone penetrometer.

Mr. Marr is a geology graduate from West Virginia University. He is a Certified Professional Geologist in the State of Arkansas and the State of Alabama, and a Certified Assessor for Tank Closure and Subsurface Assessment in New Jersey. Tom is also a member of the National Groundwater Association and has been involved with American Petroleum Institution (API) research projects.

This expansion into the North Carolina market is consistent with LFR's nationwide growth objective to effectively serve our clients throughout the United States.
