LFK's Madls fires Stingers.

The Eads-LFK Madls (Mobile Air Defense Launching System) Stinger platform successfully concluded firing tests with the Dutch Army in late January 2004. The tests included the radar assignment of the Madls, the calculation of target data and successful engagement of a small target drone with a Stinger. For the tests, the Dutch Armed Forces supplied target acquisition radar, a command link between the radar and the Madls, various support equipment as well as the Stinger missiles. Eads-LFK provided the unmanned, radar-guided Stinger platform Madls. A propeller-driven drone was used for target simulation. The Madls was mounted on a Wolf all-terrain vehicle and equipped with TV and infrared cameras, a laser rangefinder and two Atas (Air-to-Air Stinger) launchers for a total of four missiles, The Madls is a mobile light air defence system capable of firing various Vshorad missiles, although the current standard configuration is designed for the Stinger. The system can be used for both point defence of stationary objects and the protection of mobile units. One complete system comprises a standardised pallet that can be loaded onto a vehicle, aircraft or ship, a battery director for the launcher and sensors, radio equipment, a fire control unit, a remote control unit and interfaces that enable radar remote control and other functions.
