Expand Indicators

I WANT TO CONGRATULATE YOU ON AN excellent magazine. Its content and articles keep us informed on the financial and business events of the region. I particularly like the Key Indicators section because it gives a good idea on how the economies of each Latin American country are doing. It would be interesting if you would also include some figures on European countries as well as the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. .

Brazilian Exposure

I JUST SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR PRINT MAGAzine. I did this because in the few days that I've been downloading news to my Palm Pilot from LatinTrade.com I've found that you cover areas of great interest to me.

Brazil needs even more coverage than you give it so that North American North American

Monitoring the Region

IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN A YEAR THAT OUR daughter took out a subscription to LATIN TRADE Latin Trade is a monthly magazine covering global business in Latin America and the Caribbean. Similar to Forbes and Fortune Magazine in coverage, the magazine was founded in 1993 and now publishes 87,000 copies 1 each month in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.  in Spanish as a birthday present.

Both my wife and I had long ago fallen in love with the Hispanic culture Hispanic culture is a term used to identify the culture found in Spain and in the countries that were part of the Spanish Empire, including Mexico, Peru and other countries that were formerly part of New Spain and the Viceroyalty of Peru.  and language, making your magazine a recurring monthly enjoyment. We read your magazine literally from cover to cover. Not only are we able to hone our Spanish, but we also get to put our fingers on the pulse of many Latin American nations, be it their economic progress, their struggles or their achievements.

There is no doubt that south of our border is where the action will be during this century and your magazine is ideally positioned to play an important part in this inevitable development.

Correction

IN THE CYBERSURF SECTION of your April 2000 issue, LATIN TRADE criticizes the site Invertir.com as having "several misspellings in Spanish such as fabor (favor) and emiferio (hemisferio)."

The problem is that your staff places an accent mark on the "e" of hemisferio. This is totally wrong. If they are going to correct misspellings, they better consult a dictionary rather than applying their "Spanenglish."
