LETTERSDear Ask, I have been reading Ask for two years and I enjoy the magazine a lot because it is fun and educational. Also I like the comics a lot because they are very funny. I was wondering if you can make an issue on Lewis and Clark. I like reading about explorers because I think that they are very brave, finding new places for people to live, explore, and build stuff there. Sincerely, Mark Y., age 8., California Dear Mark, I love finding new places to explore, too. Though I seldom leave the safety of my burrow, I have traveled back in time, and to the far reaches of the galaxy-and I don't need one of Marvin's inventions to get me there. I read about these people and places in books-it's a great way to travel! Whatson P.S. I don't know when Ask will do an issue on explorers, but I look forward to reading it . . . someday. Dear Plush Pottom, You like to be the boss, right? My friend yells at me when I am! Jack L., age 7 1/4, Washington, D.C. P.S. Tell Elvis that I am a good poet and Ratsputin that he can steal my sister's mac & cheese. Dear Jack, I am sorry to hear that your friend yells at you when you try to organize his day, or his life, or keep track of when he breaks the Rules. Somebody has to do these things, because, without our firm but tactful guidance, the world would fall into utter chaos! Plush P.S. Rats wouldn't dare steal your sister's mac & cheese while I'm around. Dear Marvin, Could you listen to the Rules for one day? You're pulling too many pranks on your friends. Armand P., age 10, New Jersey Dear Armand, The Rules were made to be broken-by ME! And all my friends LOVE my pranks. That's why they call it "Marvin & Friends" (not "Plush & The Rules" or "Avery & Nuts," or "Elvis & Poems," or . . . well, you get the picture). And I do give them a break. I never play pranks one whole day of the year: April First-April Fool's Day! Marvin Send your letters to Ask Mail, 140 S. Dearborn St., Suite 1450, Chicago, IL 60603, or email us at ask@caruspub.com. If I had my own cartoon, I'd be Super Rats! Able to leap tall cheeses in a single bound! His own cartoon? What a great idea. Come on, Puck, let's start our own comic strip, too! © 2007 Carus Publishing Company Provided by ProQuest LLC. All Rights Reserved.
