LETTERS TWO BROTHERS STAND IN SERVICE TO COUNTRY.

My kids turn 22 today. The celebration will be different this year. Todd Todd , Sir Alexander Robertus 1907-1997.

Nimitz. I can only imagine what he will be thinking about today, with the uncertain days ahead of him. He will not get our usual traditions. A sailor's space is limited, leaving few options for us to send as a gift.

Instead of blowing out candles, he will be doing his role in blowing out terrorism. Cake? I don't don't

him. Maybe in a stolen moment of his day he'll remember, ``Today is my birthday,'' most certainly to be taken as quickly as it came because life on an aircraft carrier never sleeps.

Michael is Michael I, Byzantine emperor
Michael I (Michael Rangabe), d. c.845, Byzantine emperor (811–13), son-in-law of Nicephorus I. He supported orthodoxy against iconoclasm and recalled Theodore of Studium from exile.
stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base Vandenberg Air Force Base, U.S. military installation, 3,456 acres (1,399 hectares), SW Calif., near Lompoc; chief Pacific coast launch site for military satellites.  and will be home Friday. So we will celebrate, but it won't be the same. The little birthday details that used to seem so important will not be our focus this year. The wishes go much deeper and the presents all have prayer attached to them.

So here is my birthday wish to my boys and all other armed forces personnel being sent to the Persian Gulf Persian Gulf, arm of the Arabian Sea, 90,000 sq mi (233,100 sq km), between the Arabian peninsula and Iran, extending c.600 mi (970 km) from the Shatt al Arab delta to the Strait of Hormuz, which links it with the Gulf of Oman. .

I wish for prayer, unity and support for our leaders in the decisions they face regarding war, and I wish for strength and courage for our military people who may have to carry out these orders. I'm opposed to war, but I'm more opposed to terrorism. Both of these scenarios seem more like a plot in a motion picture than what life should be in this day and age.

I obviously have two very important reasons why I don't want war, but if the decision is made I hope it will truly mean we will be living in a safer place.

I understand protesters. We have been given the right to protest. It's an independence we have because of the people who have fought to ensure our freedoms are never taken away. So protest a war if you wish. But please - my final wish - never protest against the men and women who are fighting for your right to do so.

Happy birthday, Mike and Todd.
