LET YOUR FINGERS DO THE FLYING -- CALL 900-93-EARTH FOR EARTHWINDS HILTON UPDATES

Hotline is the Next Best Thing to Joining Non-Stop,
 Round-the-World Balloon Flight
RENO, Nev., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- As launch approaches for the Earthwinds Hilton -- the first manned helium balloon to attempt a non-stop flight around the world -- callers can hear the latest flight reports by dialing an informational 900 number.
The pay-per-call number (900-93-EARTH) provides daily, three- minute updates as the Earthwinds Hilton crew attempts its record- breaking aviation feat. The cost of the call is only 95 cents per minute.
"We want to share this slice of aviation history with the public," said Capt. Larry Newman. "Everyone has been so curious and excited about the flight that we decided to create an information flow directly from the Earthwinds Hilton into people's homes. It's an educational opportunity to experience history first-hand, as it unfolds."
Newman or an official project spokesperson updates the hotline daily. Callers hear three-minute messages on AT&T Multiquest 900 service, including information on the flight's progress, milestones, experiences and key points of interest. Newman also personalizes these messages with background on the mission and its crew. A project description narrated by Cliff Robertson follows each update.
"The hotline's goal is to convey some of the on-board enthusiasm as the Earthwinds Hilton flight progresses," Newman said. "It will be an important connection for us to the world below."
The hotline includes a brief introduction that states the cost of each call up front and allows callers to disconnect at no charge if they do not wish to continue. Proceeds will be used to pay for the hotline and support the Earthwinds Hilton project.
