LANCASTER - Dogs will catch Frisbees, parade in costumes and pose with their owners in a look-alike contest Saturday at Lancaster City Park's annual Bark in the Park Bark in the Park is an annual festival for dogs and their owners in the San Jose, California, Naglee Park neighborhood, held on the third Saturday in September.

,'' said Kyra Sundance, whose dog Chalcy has performed at the past two festivals and attended as a regular visitor before that.

Sundance, a Leona Valley resident, and her Weimeraner, who has appeared with Jay Leno Jay Leno (born April 28, 1950) is an Emmy-winning American comedian, writer who is best known as the current host of NBC television's long-running variety and talk program The Tonight Show. Biography
Leno was born in New Rochelle, New York.
 on ``The Tonight Show,'' showed off some tricks at a brief City Hall demonstration Wednesday to promote the festival.

The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Lancaster City Park, 43011 10th St. W. Admission is free.

Registration for the Frisbee contest and the best dressed, look-alike,best trick, best singing dog, and best human bark competitions will start at 9 a.m.

The Frisbee-catching competition will begin at 10 a.m.

The best-dressed, look-alike and other contests will go on at noon.

Demonstrations will be given throughout the day by Sundance and Chalcy and by the K-9 Crush performing dog team.

Other activities will include readings on dogs by pet psychic The Pet Psychic is a television show on the Animal Planet network about a woman who claims to be able to know how people's pets and certain other animals are feeling.  Joy Mason and dog cardiopulmonary-resuscitation demonstrations by the American Red Cross American Red Cross: see Red Cross. .
