Bostwick Staff Writer LANCASTER - Antelope Valley's largest private school broke ground Friday for a gymnasium and gymnastics center financed through a $2.9 million fundraising campaign. Desert Christian Schools' preschool, elementary and middle school students lined up along what will be the exterior walls of the two buildings, and youngsters turned the first shovelsfull of dirt - sand, actually, in the school playground. ``These two buildings...represent a very significant milestone for Desert Christian Schools,'' executive director Cecil Swetland said at the ceremony.
