LET'S PUT ON A SHOW! KIDS LEARN ACTING, SINGING AT SUMMER CAMP.Byline: Bhavna Mistry Staff Writer NEWHALL - They might not know much about the 1950s, but kids practicing a dance routine and singing ``sha-na-na-na-na-na'' looked liked doo-wopping pros Monday at the first day of the Canyon Theater Guild's summer camp. By the end of the week, the kids will have learned six songs, six dances, a 21-page script, and will perform a 25-minute mini musical production - free - for the community. ``There's nothing like the feeling that they get when the show goes on,'' said Phil Schwadron, 33, assistant to the camp director. ``Last year, the kids went wild when the show went off. They couldn't believe they did it. ``It's thrilling,'' Schwadron added. ``It's really thrilling for them.'' The weeklong week·long adj. Continuing through the week: a weeklong conference. Camp Director Ingrid Boydston first played some improvisational games with the kids to familiarize them with each other and the stage. Trent Stephens, 11, said he believes he should be selected as the wolf, but he also auditioned for the role of granny. ``This is really fun,'' Trent said. ``I think I might be the wolf.''
