There is an easy and effective way to help you chip better. Chip like you putt. Let me suggest you use a reverse overlapping grip when chipping - the same one you use for putting.

By chipping, I refer to a distance of no more than 15 feet off the green on fairly level ground. For best results on this shot, I recommend a 5, 6 or 7 iron. Set the club shaft shaft (shaft) a long slender part, such as the diaphysis of a long bone.
