Legato's smaller, remote offices are using the NetScreen-5XP, while mid-sized and larger stand-alone offices are using the NetScreen-25 or the NetScreen-50 depending on the network requirements. These devices communicate with four Legato regional data centers using NetScreen-100s located in Mountain View and Palo Alto, California “Palo Alto” redirects here. This application, based on the award-winning NetScreen-5XP, turned a connectivity problem for Legato's remote workers into a fixed cost broadband VPN solution.

"The strength of our products enables our customers to continuously discover ingenious ways to deploy them," said David Flynn, NetScreen vice president of marketing. "Implementing our appliances through DirecPC provides an elegant solution for remote offices looking to realize the business value of a VPN and do so in an innovative, cost-effective way."
