LEASEWAY AWARDED GM MID-ATLANTIC BUSINESS

 CLEVELAND, July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Leaseway Transportation announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Leaseway Motorcar Transport Company, was awarded a contract from General Motors Corporation (NYSE: GM) for distribution services in the Mid-Atlantic.
 Leaseway Motorcar Transport will haul finished vehicles from rail sites in Framingham, Mass.; Ridgefield, N.J.; Annapolis Junction, Md.; and Columbia, S.C.; to dealerships in those areas.
 Commenting on the award, Tony Kosak, president and chief operating officer of Leaseway's Specialized Transportation Group, said, "The success of this bid was the result of cooperation demonstrated between our employees and members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local Union 170 (Framingham, Mass.), Local 609 (Columbia, S.C.), Local 560 (Ridgefield, N.J.) and Local 557 (Baltimore, Md.). Only with this kind of teamwork will we be able to not only meet, but exceed the expectations of our customer."
 Leaseway's Specialized Transportation Group provides a full range of finished vehicle transport services, as well as integrated logistics services which support just-in-time production, service and aftermarket operations for the automotive industry.
