LEARN2.COM, BEYOND.COM PARTNER TO SELL LEARNING PRODUCTS TO GOVT. AGENCIES.


Learn2.com Corp., the White Plains, N.Y., provider of e-learning solutions and IT training products, and the government division of Internet software superstore Beyond.com have forged a two-year agreement under which Beyond.com will sell Learn2.com self-paced e-learning courseware to federal government agencies. Learn2.com estimates the volume of government purchases through the agreement will be at least $3.5 million over two years.

Under the pact, Learn2.com training courseware will be added as a line item into Beyond.com's GSA (1) (Global mobile Suppliers Association, Sawbridgeworth, U.K., www.gsacom.com) A membership organization of suppliers of GSM products and services. Its goal is to promote GSM as the worldwide mobile communications standard. See GSM Association and GSM.  schedule and will be incorporated into government bids as the "Beyond.com Deluxe Training Library." The library consists of 57 Learn2.com learning titles, including Microsoft Office Microsoft's primary desktop applications for Windows and Mac. Depending on the package, it includes some combination of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook along with various Internet and other utilities.  97 or 2000, the Internet, Lotus Notes Messaging and groupware software from IBM Lotus that was introduced in 1989 for OS/2 and later expanded to Windows, Mac, Unix, NetWare, AS/400 and S/390.
