 LEAR ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS
 SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Kenneth L. Way, chairman


of Lear Seating Corporation, today announced the appointment of William Ludwig as vice president of Human Resources, effective immediately.
 Ludwig, 61, succeeds Michael Edwards, 38, who becomes plant manager of Lear's seat manufacturing facility in Janesville, Wis.
 Ludwig joins Lear with more than 32 years of experience in human resources, having served as senior vice president of human resources at F.L. Industries and vice president of human resources for Dresser Industries-Worthington Corporation.
 Way said Ludwig has been assisting Lear as a consultant for the last 18 months. Ludwig has a bachelor's degree from St. Bonaventure University and a master's degree from Seton Hall University. He and his wife, Clare, will relocate to the Detroit area from New Jersey.
 Edwards, a graduate of General Motors Institute with a master's degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, joined Lear in February 1989, after serving 15 years with General Motors in a number of human resources and manufacturing positions. In his present position he will report to Doug DelGrosso, manager of Lear's GM North American Truck Platform Business Unit.
 Lear Seating Corporation, the leading independent manufacturer of car and light truck seats, employs 14,500 workers in 45 facilities worldwide and had sales of $1.4 billion during the 1992 fiscal year.
