Thai Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai Chuan Leekpai

(born July 28, 1938, Muang district, Trang province, Thai.) Prime minister of Thailand (1992–95, 1997–2001). Son of a schoolteacher, he became a lawyer and was first elected a member of Parliament in 1969.

The temple had set up tables for locals to buy airline tickets to Thailand to help boost tourism and to provide information about how to invest in the country.

Chuan told the group that the goal is to keep manufacturing going and to keep people employed regardless of whether Thailand companies are able to make a profit. He thanked President Clinton for a $1.7 billion aid package for Thailand which was announced during Leekpai's trip to Washington, D.C., Friday.
