Tokyo Metro said the traffic light trouble occurred at around 8:55 a.m., trapping the passengers inside the train bound for Yoyogi-Uehara from Abiko in Chiba Prefecture Chiba Prefecture (千葉県 Chiba-ken for 50 minutes. Tokyo Metro employees later advised the passengers to get off the train and guided them along the train tracks to Meiji Jingu-Mae, the nearest station, the subway operator said. The Tokyo Fire Department said a 28-year-old woman fell ill inside the train and was taken to hospital. Normal operations on the Chiyoda Line are still being hampered by the trouble, Tokyo Metro said. |
