 LCI INTERNATIONAL MARKETS NEW SERVICE
TO RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS IN UNIQUE WAYS
COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Offering value packaged long distance residential service through two unique programs is the strategy LCI International has adopted in launching its newly developed residential service, "The All America Plan."
"'The All America Plan' was developed to open up an entirely new market segment for LCI. Prior to offering this service, LCI mainly served other businesses. Penetrating the residential long distance market is key to our expansion goals," explained Thomas J. Wynne, LCI president. "We are actively looking for creative ways in which to get the word out about our residential service offerings to potential customers. LCI's Employee Benefits Program and the Affinity Program are examples of how we're doing this."
 Employee Benefits Program
At a time when employee benefit costs are skyrocketing, employers are searching for ways to improve their employee benefits packages. LCI has developed a unique employee benefit discount program, designed specifically for businesses, which offers LCI's "All America Plan" at special discounted rates for employees of participating companies. LCI will even cover the costs to change long distance carriers charged by the employees' local exchange companies.
"With today's economic situation, executives are seeking innovative ways to improve employee morale by increasing their benefits while taking advantage of cost-effective programs," Wynne explained. "At LCI, we often use promotional offers from other companies which give our employees a variety of discount programs. Since long distance phone service is used by every household, this is a valuable discount program for any company to offer to its employees."
Through the Employee Benefits Program, LCI International offers its "All America Plan" residential service at already highly competitive base rates with a special discount of up to 10 percent off 1+ interstate calls.
There is no fee to the participating employer. All any employee needs to do to receive this discount is sign up through his or her company. For more information, company representatives may contact LCI at 800-860-2255.
 LCI Affinity Program
Another unique "All America Plan" application is LCI's Affinity Program. Through this program, non-profit charitable organizations receive a percentage of monthly payments from supporters who indicate that they want a portion of their monthly bill to go to that organization.
Again, there is no fee or financial obligation to the participating non-profit organization. For more information, non-profit organization representatives may contact LCI at 800-860-2255.
Special features of LCI's "All America Plan" include Info 700 information services, international calling capabilities, cost-saving 700 intra-area code calling services in selected areas, LCI's unique travel card -- "WorldCard" -- for domestic and international calling, and simple monthly billing through the customer's local exchange company.
LCI International, formerly known as LiTel Telecommunications Corporation, is a worldwide, facilities-based telecommunications company that provides a full line of voice, data and video transmission services to meet the needs of both business and residential customers through its state-of-the-art fiber optic network.
