LBBW Selects VistaSource's Applixware to Solve Critical Real Time Data Analysis Requirements.

LBBW faced the challenge to improve its financial modelling capabilities and exploit the advantage of using real time market data from the new Reuters RMDS/TIB data feed. VistaSource's Applixware Solution addresses these needs and significantly enhances the bank's ability to react in real time to rapidly changing financial market conditions by integrating sophisticated spreadsheets with Reuters real time data in a Sun Solaris environment.

LBBW with its scalable architectures of Sun Solaris servers and Linux desktops, found in Applixware a unique set of development capabilities in conjunction with the real time data feeds needed to build mission critical trading applications. In addition to components such as a Programmable Vector Graphic Tool, Word Processor and event-driven Spreadsheet, Applixware offers two powerful tools: Builder, an Object Oriented Rapid Application Development IDE and the Extended Language Facility (ELF), a programming language with a powerful debugger. These tools, used in conjunction with Applixware's real time integrated Spreadsheet and realtime engines, provide the only solution in the market place today specifically designed "from the ground up" for real time data retrieval, analysis and publication.
