The girl's mother is suing the Antelope Valley Union High School District The Antelope Valley Union High School District (A.V.U.H.S.D.) is located in the Antelope Valley area of California, in northern Los Angeles County.

The lawsuit states the defendants failed to provide an adequate and safe school environment and knew that both the girl and her alleged assailant were in need of special supervision.
