LAURA RAPAPORT BORSTEN, 91, NAVY OFFICER.

STUDIO CITY - A memorial service is scheduled Friday for Laura Rapaport Borsten, one of the Navy's first cadre of women officers, who died Monday of a stroke. She was 91.

Born on a North Dakota North Dakota, state in the N central United States. It is bordered by Minnesota, across the Red River of the North (E), South Dakota (S), Montana (W), and the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba (N).  farm, educated in Minneapolis, she graduated from the University of Minnesota (body, education) University of Minnesota - The home of Gopher.

Borsten of Studio City was the author of the memoir ``Once A Wave: My Life in the US Navy 1942-1946.''

She is survived by her husband, Orin Borsten; a daughter, Joan Borsten Vidov; son-in-law Oleg Vidov; grandson Sergei Vidov; and son Joseph S. Borsten, all residents of Studio City. Her sister Lillian Minkowski lives in Santa Cruz, Calif. The memorial service is scheduled Friday at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Chapel of the Los Angeles National Cemetery The Los Angeles National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery in West Los Angeles, at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard. The cemetery was dedicated in 1889.  in Westwood, 950 S. Sepulveda Blvd.
