 Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will have a busy week starting with today's monthly luncheon featuring guest speakers in a program titled ``Supporting Our Veterans at Home.''

Palmdale Mayor Jim Ledford and George Palermo, an activist for veterans, will be the speakers at the 11:30 a.m. meeting at the Holiday Inn, 38360 Fifth St. West. For information, contact Sandy Corrales Corrales can refer to: People

The chamber was established in 1997 to support Latino businesses and to help strengthen the local economy.

On Wednesday, the group will participate in a joint chambers luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds n. pl. 1. same as fairground.  Lilac Pavilion, 2551 West Ave. H, Lancaster.

Members will join their counterparts from the Antelope Valley, Palmdale Chamber and the Quartz Hill chambers in the joint event that will benefit the Grace Resource Center.

Tickets are $20 and can be reserved by calling Linda Padilla at Grace at (661) 940-5272.

A Casino Night (also called Vegas Nights, Las Vegas Night, Monte Carlo Night) is an entertainment event with a casino theme.
, with a Roaring '20s theme, will start at 6 p.m. at the Larry Chimbole Cultural Center, 38350 Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. It runs from Tunnel Station near the north limit of the City of Los Angeles, where it intersects with San Fernando Road and Foothill Boulevard, as well as Interstate 5, and continues north to Mojave, mostly paralleling , Palmdale. Styles like those of the 1920s may be worn, and there will be costume contests for men and women.

In less than a decade since its founding, the Hispanic Chamber has increased to 200 members. Owners of member businesses point out that the region's Latino population has been growing rapidly.
