      LARSON-DAVIS INFORMATION SYSTEMS ESTABLISHES RELATIONSHIP
    PROVO, Utah, Nov. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Larson-Davis Information Systems, a subsidiary of Larson-Davis Inc. (NASDAQ: LDII) announced today an agreement with Osborne/McGraw-Hill, publishers of top- quality books for computer users at every level of computing experience.
    "By establishing this relationship with the premiere provider of third party computer reference material, the InfoQue technology has taken a big step into the marketplace.  We have a lot of work to do to put the more than 20 titles authorized by Osborne into our retrievable electronic form, but we are optimistic that potential sales will more than justify the effort," commented Dan Johnson, president of Larson-Davis Information Systems.
    Under the agreement, Larson-Davis has the right to reproduce the text of 24 existing Osborne/McGraw-Hill books in electronic form, link the text to the Static InfoQue Text Retrieval Software, manufacture, package, market and distribute the resulting product in exchange for a per unit royalty.
    "We displayed and demonstrated what we call the  Books On-Line Series' at Comdex, the largest computer hardware and software trade show in the world.  The interest by both end users and resellers was very encouraging," observed Johnson.
    InfoQue is a text retrieval program which allows the user to find the occurrence of specific words and phrases within a database.  The "Books On-Line Series" will focus on providing computer users with immediate on-line access to powerful reference materials.  Users will have the ability to "hot-key" from the applications software they are running directly into the reference book.  While there, they will be able to instantly locate the answer to technical or procedural questions and then return to their application precisely where they left off.
