LANIER LAUNCHES DIGITAL COPIER/PRINTER SYSTEM.

Lanier Worldwide, Inc. has launched the Lanier LD055 Digital Copier/Printer System. The LD055 offers several productive features, including extremely quick document production, high-resolution digital output, versatile finishing options, a built-in document server and optional network printing.

The LD055 combines speed with quality, delivering up to 55 digital copies or prints per minute at a precise 600 dpi resolution. An optional connector kit can be used to link two LD055 systems and boost copying speed up to 110 pages per minute.

Standard automatic duplexing on the LD055 improves document production efficiency. In addition, the large capacity cassette option allows the LD055 to hold up to 7,750 sheets, which reduces time lost to paper refills on critical, high-volume jobs. Other time-saving options include a finisher that can staple 50 sheets in four different positions, and two-hole or three-hole punch units.

Although the LD055 can be used as a stand-alone copier, it also offers network connectivity that allows end users to access key features and functions of the LD055 directly from a desktop PC. A built-in document server enables users to store frequently required documents--such as forms or manuals--on a hard drive, then produce exact quantities on demand. The document server also enables users to print confidential documents from their PC and later walk up to the LD055, enter a password and retrieve their confidential output while they are standing at the system.
