LANCERS WIN BAND HONORS.

The Thousand Oaks High School Thousand Oaks High School is a high school established in 1962 and located in Thousand Oaks, California. It is a California Distinguished School, and offers curriculum at all levels for Thousand Oaks students. The mascot is the lancer.  Lancers lanc·er

 band and color guard won the grand championship tournament sweepstakes trophy at the 43rd annual Arcadia Festival of Bands.

The event, held last weekend at Arcadia High school Arcadia High School may refer to:

 and Citrus College According to the Public Policy Institute of California, Citrus College had 632 students who transferred to universities during the 2005-2006 academic year, ranking seventh in the area.

Citrus College students are represented by ASCC the Associated Students of Citrus College.
 Stadium, has become the premier showcase of street and field bands in Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region, .

The Lancers also received several other honors, including the grand championship music award. They won the band sweepstakes and the music award at the parade marching band review. They also won the tournament sweepstakes and the music award at the invitational field tournament.

Event officials said this was the first time a single band won both the band-review and the invitational field tournament sweepstakes since the competitions became part of the same festival in 1988.

The Lancer color guard took third place in the overall competition, and Robb McCallum won fourth place among drum majors and mace marchers.

Bands and color guards from Agoura, Moorpark and Westlake high schools were among the 49 that competed in the event. The Lancers band director, Bill Hoehne, said students' and advisers' dedication showed in the victories.

The Lancer band and color guard will go after more honors in the Tournament of Champions on Dec. 7 and in the Santa Barbara field competition Dec. 14.
