In Tri-Valley League action, Oak Park will travel to to Bishop Diego.

A closer look at tonight's key games:

Thousand Oaks at Simi Valley: The Lancers surprised everybody but themselves with their win over previously undefeated Westlake last week. They can claim the Marmonte League championship by winning their remaining games starting tonight against the Pioneers.

Efficient quarterback Scott McEwan leads a productive Thousand Oaks offense that includes outstanding wide receiver Barrett Grindle and an impressive rushing game.

Simi Valley has been close in three league games but just hasn't been able to get a win yet.

Quarterback David Krewson has been solid.

Camarillo at Westlake: The Camarillo Scorpions can solidify their playoff position and remain in first place with a win over the Warriors.

But it won't be easy. After losing to Thousand Oaks last week, Westlake has incentive to get back on the winning track. After all, one more loss would put the Warriors in dire straits on any course to the league title or playoffs.

Camarillo's Joe Borchard is generally regarded as the best quarterback in the league, but Westlake's Casey Preston isn't far behind. Whoever wins the quarterbacks' battle figures to win the game.

Santa Paula at Calabasas: Any notion that the Calabasas Coyotes will have an easy time of it after beating league Nemesis Moorpark last week is not shared by quarterback Scott Quigley, who pointed out that the Cardinals are underrated after barely falling to Nordhoff, 15-12, last week.

``All we have to do is look at that score to realize they're a good football team,'' Quigley said. ``We definitely can't just show up.''
