``The whole season is exciting and offers something for just about everyone,'' City Manager Bob LaSala said at the announcement ceremony.

Tickets went on sale Wednesday. They can be purchased through the Internet at www.lpac.org, by phone at (661) 723-5950 or by visiting the theater box office between noon and 6 p.m. weekdays at 750 W. Lancaster Blvd.

This season has more top-price performers than last year: Five shows have tickets priced at $70 or more, compared with just one last year. The top prices are for Conway and Korman's May 13 show, for which seats top out at $90. Others with tickets of $70 or more are Gill, Robinson, Seal and Grant.

The season includes four performers who sold out the 750-seat theater in past Lancaster concerts: Robinson, jazz saxophonist David Sanborn, western musicians Riders in the Sky and Ailey II.

The season will open Aug. 14 with Grant, who has won five Grammy awards and 20 Dove awards, the Christian music industry's equivalent of the Grammy.

Ticket prices will range from the peak of $90 for Korman and Conway down to $12 for general admission and $5 for children for the Missoula Children's Theater's ``The Jungle Book'' in February.
