LAN2LAN Announces RIM Partnership and Enterprise Solutions for BlackBerry Handheld.

LAN (Local Area Network) A communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area. The "clients" are the user's workstations typically running Windows, although Mac and Linux clients are also used.  2 LAN, a leading networking and wireless integration specialist, has announced a number of strategic partnerships that enable the RIM Blackberry(TM) handheld to support a number of sophisticated, enterprise applications for the first time.

LAN 2 LAN has also signed a strategic partnership with Flowfinity Wireless, a provider of solutions and platforms for business applications used by mobile workforce professionals. The agreement with Flowfinity means that UK organisations with large mobile field and sales forces can now access vital IT and business data via a BlackBerry handheld. Flowfinity provides a range of wireless application products and platforms that improve the productivity and effectiveness of mobile professionals.

LAN 2 LAN has also signed a strategic partnership with US-based Idokorro Mobile to provide full integration and support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services  for Idokorro's BlackBerry mobile administration product in the UK and Ireland. The partnership between LAN 2 LAN and Idokorro provides IT Administrators with the tools they need in order to securely manage IT networks from anywhere at anytime using a BlackBerry.

LAN 2 LAN's wireless application delivery supports a wide range of mobile computing applications, such as mobile access to back-end databases ie IBM Lotus Domino Lotus Domino is an IBM server product that provides enterprise-grade e-mail, collaboration capabilities, and custom application platform. Domino began life as Lotus Notes Server, the server component of Lotus Development Corporation's client-server messaging technology. , Microsoft SQL server A relational DBMS from Microsoft that is a major component of the Windows Server System. It is Microsoft's high-end client/server database and is closely integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio and the Microsoft Office System.  etc, word processing tools, spreadsheets and presentation applications, as well as supporting the existing email and calendering calendering, a finishing process by which paper, plastics, rubber, or textiles are pressed into sheets and smoothed, glazed, polished, or given a moiré or embossed surface.  tools, such as IBM Lotus Domino, and MS Exchange that have made the device popular to date.
