LAKERS TRADE RUMOR DENIED.

Byline: - Ross Siler

The Lakers have no interest in acquiring Orlando Magic guard Steve Francis, contrary to a report Saturday, a team source said.

The Orlando Sentinel reported that the Lakers were ``aggressively' pursuing a trade that would bring Francis to Los Angeles for forward Lamar Odom.

The NBA trade deadline is Thursday. Lakers coach Phil Jackson previously did not want to include Odom in a package that could have netted Ron Artest from Indiana.
