Taking a 'Big Shot'

Michael Vartan, one of the four leads in the male buddy comedy "Big Shots," says he wasn't looking to jump into another series so soon after "Alias," until he saw the script and thought, "This is good."

The actor says he would have been content making movies for a while because he likes the travel and living in a hotel and the fact that if it's a terrible experience, "it's over in two months. But I do like the consistency of working in television because it's a steady job and also a steady paycheck. It's easier to have a life as a TV actor." And another reason for taking the role? It's not "Alias."

"It's light and it's fun, as opposed to 'Alias,' where we were shooting 16hours a day and running down hallways in San Pedro at 5 a.m. I think this will be a little easier."
