The dragon's lair Dragon's Lair was one of the first laserdisc video games, released in June 1983 by Cinematronics. It featured animation created by former Disney animator Don Bluth.  on the red carpet spewed out an extra burst of smoke when Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt arrived at the premiere of "Beowulf" on Monday night. And the Westwood crowd emitted a monstrous roar when Jolie stepped from behind a press barricade to sign autographs.

Don't think you had to read "Beowulf" in high school to grasp the movie.

Hopkins and Winstone admit that they weren't familiar with the mythic tale until they saw the Roger Avary/Neil Gaiman script.

"This is a very simple, clear and grim fairy tale that'll be very clear to everyone who sees it," assured Malkovich, who actually did read and recite "Beowulf" as a teen.
