 LA OPINION RESTRUCTURES EDITORIAL DEPARTMENT
 LOS ANGELES, Dec. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Lozano Enterprises announced


today a major restructuring of La Opinion's editorial department.
 With the departure of its Executive Editor Sergio Munoz, La Opinion, has named Associate Publisher Monica Lozano-Centanino as editor.
 A new editorial team will focus on improving and expanding not only local and national news, but on news of Latin America as well. Stated Lozano-Centanino, "We want to provide our readers with news on where they are, as well as on where they come from. Recent studies have shown this to be what they are most interested in, and we intend to continue to make it available to them."
 Gerardo Lopez will serve as associate editor and Estela Herrera, formerly editor of the Editorial page, will be managing editor, news. Other changes include: Raul Organista and Juan Jose Garcia to assistant managing editors; Raymundo Reynoso to Latin American news editor; Roger Rivero and Carlos Rubalcava to night editors; Josefina Vidal to copy editor; Cruz Alberto Mendez to features editor; Jose Fuentes -- Acceso, Norma Aquino -- Comida, Orlando Moncada -- Viajes, and Alicia Alarcon -- Teleguia, to assistant editors. In addition, Alejandro Balotta leaves the Translations department to join the news staff. Jesus Hernandez, Metro editor; Henrik Rehbinder, National news editor; Jaime Olivares, State news editor; and George Roth, International news editor maintain their current positions in the editorial department.
 La Opinion, since 1926, has been the nation's leading Spanish- language daily newspaper.
