L.A. arrival. In the small but growing field of all-business-class international air travel, one small airline is quickly carving out its niche. Maxjet Airways Inc., a Washington Dulles Airport-based all-business airline which started service in November of 2005, began flights last week between Los Angeles International Airport and Stansted, an airport near London. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] The airline, which raised about $95 million in its initial public offering in June, started with one flight between New York and Stansted and has since expanded to include Washington and Las Vegas as destinations. Its Los Angeles flights will start at $899 and offer four-course gourmet meals and reclining leather seats. The airline will offer four flights each way per week. The all-business sector may get some new competition within the next year or two: UK-based airlines Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd. and British Airways PLC have each said they may begin offering all-business flights.
