L.A. CONFIDENTIAL.

Byline: -- Rich Hammond

If you don't know Don't know (DK, DKed)

"Don't know the trade." A Street expression used whenever one party lacks knowledge of a trade or receives conflicting instructions from the other party.
that the Kings are playing the New York Rangers The New York Rangers are a professional ice hockey team based in New York, New York, U.S.A. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL).  and Pittsburgh Penguins next week, well, clearly you aren't watching the TV broadcast of Friday's game.

The Kings are VERY sensitive these days about attendance figures -- they're not good, although the Ducks' are worse -- and it struck me that this broadcast is turning into a 2 1/2-hour infomercial for selling tickets to upcoming home games. We have Bob Miller, a Hall of Fame play-by-play guy, and Jim Fox, selected by Sports Illustrated as the best color analyst in the NHL NHL Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, see there , and during almost every break in the action, they're being made to hype upcoming games instead of analyze the one they're watching. I just went back through the past hour of the game on my DVR (1) (Digital Video Recorder) A device that records video onto a hard disk from one or more ceiling mounted video cameras. Part of a security system, the DVR typically supports 4, 8 or 16 separate camera channels.  and we had four promos for the upcoming games, in addition to three ``crawls'' across the top of the screen about the family-pack thing.
