L.A. CONFIDENTIAL.

Byline: -- Ross Siler

Every year, the NBA's general manager survey comes out before the season opener. There are questions about which teams will win the championship, etc.

One of my favorite My Favorite is an independent synthpop band from Long Island, New York. They released two CDs: Love at Absolute Zero and Happiest Days of Our Lives. My Favorite broke up on September 14, 2005, when singer Andrea Vaughn left the band.  questions is: Which player someday will make the best coach? This season, the top three picks were Steve Nash Steven John Nash, OBC (born February 7, 1974),[1] is a Canadian professional basketball player who plays point guard for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nash was brought up in a family of sportsmen and he excelled in a variety of sports. , Eric Snow Eric Snow (born April 24, 1973 in Canton, Ohio) is an American professional basketball player currently with the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA. High School Years  and Shane Battier Shane Courtney Battier (born September 9 1978 in Birmingham, Michigan) is an American professional basketball player with the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association and the U.S. national team. .

There was another player who got a vote, namely Kobe Bryant. Yet Bryant looked like he would rather chew nails than consider the possibility of someday being a coach -- even though his father is coach of the WNBA's Sparks.

``It's just not for me,'' Bryant said.

Lakers spokesman John Black offered an alternate view.

``I'm sure he would make a great coach if he chose to do it,'' Black said. ``But he'll have so much money he won't even have to get off his couch.''
