The complex is owned by Speedway Motorsports, Inc., which is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. . The latest test involved four NASCAR NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing), organization that sanctions American stock-car races, est. 1948. It held its first race in Daytona Beach, Fla. Craftsman Truck Series drivers, one from each engine manufacturer, last week. Todd Bodine Todd Bodine (born February 27, 1964 in Chemung, New York) is a stock car racer. Todd is the younger brother of former racers Geoff Bodine and Brett Bodine. Bodine won the 2006 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship while driving the #30 Lumber Liquidators/Germain Toyota. from Toyota, Brendan Gaughan Brendan Gaughan (born July 10, 1975 in Los Angeles, California) is a truck racer from Las Vegas, Nevada. Gaughan is the grandson of Vegas gaming pioneer Jackie Gaughan and son of Michael Gaughan, a hotel and casino magnate. from Dodge, Dennis Setzer from Chevrolet and Rick Crawford from Ford were testing tires for Goodyear on Monday and Tuesday in preparation for the Sept. 23 race in Las Vegas. For Bodine, Setzer and Crawford, it was their first test at the new track. Gaughan was at the track two weeks ago with Kurt Busch. Bodine, who won last year's Truck Series race in Las Vegas, said he was pleasantly surprised with the track surface. Setzer said the changes were a bit unexpected, but the banking was ``going to be fun to work with.'' |
