L.A. CONFIDENTIAL.

Byline: -- Doug Padilla

The Angels are making it easier than ever for fans to post messages on the scoreboard during games. For a fee of $30 ($25 of which goes to charity), the Angels will put a birthday, anniversary, congratulations or welcome message on the scoreboard that will appear in the middle of the fourth inning on the left-field scoreboard. More info: http://losangeles.angels.mlb.com/ana/fan_forum/scoreboard.jsp.

The Dodgers also announced a similar opportunity for fans, costing $50 -- but all of that goes to their Dream Foundation.

The scoreboard messages that appear on the ribbon board behind first and third base can be purchased online (http:// losangeles.dodgers.mlb.com/la/fan_forum/scoreboard.jsp.) The message appears twice, immediately after the third out is recorded in the top of the third and sixth innings.
