L.A. CONFIDENTIAL.
Byline: -- Rich Hammond Rich Hammond Los Angeles Daily News sports writer. Instrumental in bringing the Los Angeles Kings hockey organization closer to the fans. He is the atypical "what a guy" to Kings fans everywhere.
Rich Hammond on himself.
Kings forward Patrick O'Sullivan Patrick O'Sullivan can refer to - Patrick O'Sullivan, the hockey player
- Patrick B. O'Sullivan, the U.S. Representative from Connecticut
is gone to Manchester.
It's not a surprising move. Alyn McCauley Alyn McCauley (born May 29, 1977 in Brockville, Ontario) is a professional ice hockey player. He is a center is currently unsigned and is a Unrestricted Free Agent. will return from IR soon
and O'Sullivan clearly was going to be the odd man out.
There's a certain level of disappointment in the move. The Kings
acquired O'Sullivan thinking he was NHL-ready, but they found out
otherwise. Coach Marc Crawford Marc Crawford (born February 13, 1961 in Belleville, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian National Hockey League head coach of the Los Angeles Kings and former forward for the Vancouver Canucks. never warmed to him. They got off on the
wrong foot in training camp, when Crawford was critical of
O'Sullivan's work ethic, particularly his competitiveness (or
lack thereof) away from the puck, and things never really improved. ...
Crawford wants him to be grittier, and actually work to create loose
pucks, etc. O'Sullivan can't just be an opportunistic sniper;
he has to put in the dirty work as well, and the Kings weren't
seeing enough of that. In 12 games with the Kings, O'Sullivan had
one goal and one assist.
