Activities of various national and worldwide organizations for youth aimed at developing character, citizenship, and individual skills. Scouting began when Robert S.
 Bureau's tryout camp for all players 16 and older at the MLB Urban Youth Academy (Compton Community College Campus, 901 East Artesia Blvd., Compton).

Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Tryouts start at 9 a.m. No fee to participate. Bring you own equipment and sign the liability waiver, either at the field or in advance at www.mlb.com, and clicking on the link at the bottom of the homepage.

Those under the age of 21 must have a parent or legal guardian present to also sign the waiver. The MLB Scouting Bureau Tryout Camp at the MLB Urban Youth Academy is one of 22 stops around the country.
