Schedule is filling up

The Galaxy's 2-0 victory over L.A. Firpo on Tuesday in the CONCACAF CONCACAF Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (Soccer)
CONCACAF Confederacion Norte, Centroamericana y del Caribe de Futbol Asociacion (Spanish)
Champions Cup, the top professional club tournament in the Western Hemisphere, is great news for a young team in a young league. It might not be so great for the Galaxy.

The victory means it must play fellow Major League Soccer team D.C. United in a semifinal game Aug. 22 at RFK Stadium for the right to play in the final two days later. As a result, the team has rescheduled its Aug. 23 home game against Colorado to Sept. 10. If it makes the Aug. 24 Cup final, the Galaxy will have played seven games in 16 days.
