A landmark construction effort recently took place in Los Angeles county as Klorman Construction completed the largest single concrete pour in recent memory at the Howard Hughes Center. The job involved a fleet of 110 concrete trucks, 225 workers and an 80-ton crane which poured 5,600 cubic yards (or 22.7 million pounds) of concrete in just under 12 hours.

The project is owned by Arden Realty and developed by Lowe Enterprises Commercial Group, both of Los Angeles. Designed by Daniel Mann Johnson Mendenhall (DMJM), Los Angeles, the overall project footprint encompasses nearly 100,000 square feet of land area and is comprised of a 12-story high-rise office building plus a heliport directly over a 3-story subterranean parking structure and connected to an 8-story parking structure together totaling approximately 3/4 of a million square feet of floor area.
