Henschel designed, tested, and engineered the enclosures, which are part of the Navy's CG-47 class Smart Ship upgrade program. This program was implemented in part to provide advanced integrated electronic control systems that increase mission effectiveness and crew safety while reducing operator workload and ship manpower requirements.
