NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 31, 1997--L-3 Communications Corporation hereby announces that it will extend to 5:00 p.m. on November 5, 1997, the expiration of its offer to exchange $225,000,000 of its 10 3/8% Series B Senior Subordinated Notes due 2007 for $225,000,000 of its outstanding 10 3/8% Senior Subordinated Notes due 2007 which were issued on April 30, 1997 in a private placement under Rule 144A Rule 144A

A Securities & Exchange Commission rule modifying a two-year holding period requirement on privately placed securities to permit qualified institutional buyers to trade these positions among themselves.
