L-3 Communications Awarded Cockpit Displays Contract for F-15K Eagle Aircraft.

) announced today that its Display Systems division has been awarded a contract from The Boeing Company, Integrated Defense Systems Integrated Defense Systems may refer to:
  • Boeing Integrated Defense Systems
  • Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems
 (IDS) division, to provide cockpit displays for the F-15K Eagle fighter aircraft. This contract is valued at over $7 million.

Under the terms of the contract, L-3 will design, qualify, and manufacture high resolution, high brightness, NVG NVG Night Vision Goggles
NVG Neovascular Glaucoma
NVG New Venture Gear (auto transmission)
NVG Not Very Good
NVG New Ventures Group
 compatible, 4"x4" active matrix Flat Panel Up-Front Control (FPUFC) displays. The FPUFC controls the functions of the F-15K Communication, Radio and Inertial Navigation, Identification, and associated equipment, and will meet the demanding environment of the F-15 Eagle fighter aircraft. The display design is intended for compatibility with current F-15E Eagle and F-15 FMS FMS - Flexible Manufacturing System (factory automation).  Up-Front Control Display units.
