L-3 Communications Appoints Joseph C. Homko President of L-3 Communications' KDI Precision Products.

) announced today that Joseph C. Homko has been appointed president of its KDI Precision Products (KDI) subsidiary. In addition to this new position, Mr. Homko will maintain his role as president of L-3 Communications' BT Fuze fuze

 Products (BT Fuze) division. With this new position, Mr. Homko will now oversee L-3's KDI operations, as well as those of BT Fuze. At KDI, Mr. Homko succeeds Eric Guerazzi, who has left the company to pursue other opportunities.

 of L-3's Sensors and Simulation Group and he will be headquartered at the BT Fuze facility in Lancaster, PA. Mr. Homko will also support Mr. Dunn in new business pursuits and he will coordinate capabilities across L-3's fuze and navigation product lines and divisions.

Mr. Homko, age 50, joined L-3 Communications in 2000 as president of BT Fuze. Prior to becoming president of BT Fuze, he served as vice president of operations for Bulova Technologies. He has over 25 years of experience in the manufacture of military ordnance with senior-level responsibilities in manufacturing, systems engineering and engineering management. Mr. Homko played a key role in the management and delivery of 120mm tank ammunition for Desert Storm. He has also been responsible for the delivery of highly successful M762A1/M767A1 electronic time fuzes for artillery, as well as for BT Fuze's entry into program systems management with the win of 105mm ammunition for the U.S. Army's Stryker vehicle, and most recently for the first systems contract for M67 Hand Grenade.

Mr. Homko graduated from Virginia Tech/National Louis University with a degree in Business Management in 1993. Mr. Homko also has affiliations with the U.S. Army Picatinny Arsenal Commanders Industrial Advisory Council and the Munitions Industrial Base Lobby Group, as well as the National Defense Industrial Association, and the National Infantry Association The National Infantry Association (NIA) was established in 1994 as a professional association for Infantrymen and Infantry supporters. It was chartered as a private, non-profit, fraternal organization, to support the Infantry's role in the security of the United States, to assist .
