Canizares Claude R. Canizares is the Bruno Rossi Professor of Physics at MIT. He is also an associate provost at MIT and associate director for MIT of the Chandra X-Ray Observatory Center. Academic career Prof. Canizares earned his B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. has been elected to the L-3 Communications Board of Directors. He succeeds John E. Montague, who has announced his resignation to focus on his position as managing director of CSP Associates, Inc., a leading aerospace and defense advisory firm. Following these changes, L-3 Communications' Board of Directors will continue to consist of eight members, of which six are independent directors.
