) announced recently that the Systems Engineering Services division of L-3 Communications ILEX Systems (L-3 ILEX SESD), in partnership with subcontractor TELOS-OK, has been awarded a five-year, $179 million task order from the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM CECOM Communications Electronics Command (US Army)

) to provide system and software engineering services for CECOM's Software Engineering Center and Fire Support Software Engineering (SEC, FSSE) organization located at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

ILEX SESD and TELOS-OK will develop and maintain software enhancements and provide training and post-deployment system and software support for fielded fire support (FS) systems, including the Initial Fire Support Automated System (IFSAS IFSAS Initial Fire Support Automated System
IFSAS Interim Fire Support Automation System
) and the Battery Computer System (BCS). ILEX SESD and TELOS-OK engineers will provide acquisition support to Army/Joint Program Managers (PMs) and their prime contractors in the development of command and control, target acquisition, meteorological, fire direction and software-intensive fire control systems, including software requirements analyses, technical reviews, code analyses, test plan evaluations, field exercise support and other software-related activities.

L-3 ILEX SESD is based in Shrewsbury, NJ (Fort Monmouth) with major operations in Sierra Vista, AZ (Fort Huachuca), and field service offices at over twenty sites worldwide including Korea, Germany, Hawaii, Fort Bragg, Fort Stewart, Fort Drum, Fort Hood, Fort Gordon, Fort Belvoir, Fort Lewis, Fort Campbell, Hunter Army Airfield Hunter Army Airfield (IATA: SVN, ICAO: KSVN), along with Fort Stewart, is a military complex located near Savannah, Georgia, United States.
