The contest created so much excitement among high schools that every production kit was distributed in less than a week and the top 25 commercials posted for online voting received more than a quarter million votes in less than a month. The student production team of Marshal Downey and James Meder, along with teacher Marty Newborn, has won $3,000 for Granite Bay High School to put towards school programs and the opportunity to attend an upcoming L'Oreal Paris commercial shoot. In addition, their winning commercial will air on Varsity TV Varsity TV is owned by Varsity Media Group, Inc., a media company that provides entertainment focused on the teen demographic.
